UNIVERSITY SECURES GLOBAL TECH COMPANY IN BALLARAT Federation University Australia will welcome another global technology company to its Tech Park in Mount Helen, supported by a new Victorian Government partnership. CT4 specialises in delivering cloud-based security services to corporate clients. The company will recruit 28 staff for its new facility at Federation University’s Global Innovation Centre, with plans to expand in future. The Mt Helen facility will service clients across the Asia Pacific and will be an expansion of CT4’s current activities in Malaysia. Federation University is recognised internationally as a leader in cyber security research and will explore research opportunities and partnerships with CT4. The University will also work with CT4 on establishing of professional placements for students as the University currently does with IBM, which is also located in the Mt Helen Tech Park. The partnership opportunities also extend to FedUni TAFE, with the University facilitating recruitment opportunities to recent TAFE graduates as part of the first round of CT4 recruitment. Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Helen Bartlett Said, “We’re recognised as a leader in cyber security research, which is attracting companies like CT4 to our Tech Parks. “These sorts of partnerships provide opportunities for high-skilled local jobs, research opportunities and invaluable experience for our students to work in global companies while they study.” Federation University Technology Parks Executive Director, Jeff Pulford echoed the sentiment, “More than 2,100 people are employed across our Technology Parks and we’re working to attract new tenants like CT4 so we can continue to create high-skilled new jobs and grow the local economy.”
